Testimonials

“I want to let you know that the William Blew "History of Steeple-chasing" arrived safely in today's post. It is truly everything that I expected and more. The book arrived in good sound condition and all the color plates, which you said, were also in fine condition. I can't thank you enough for the highly professional service you gave to me. I hope that we may work together again in the future. Again, my thanks and very best wishes.”

“ The book arrived promptly and was beautifully wrapped in tissue paper. The outer cardboard packaging was stout and prevented any damage in transit. I am very pleased with my purchase which is to be a present for my Aunt. She will be absolutely delighted with the book and I have no hesitation in recommending this seller. A very positive experience.”

This is a beautiful, turn of the century, 18ct gold dress ring set with a large 3.5ct aquamarine. The aquamarine is raised in a gold bezel mount with understated filigree borders. This is a striking, statement piece, without being ostentatious.

The piece is hallmarked (most likely French), it has also been tested as 18ct Gold.

Condition: The ring is in superb condition as photographed, but it is a vintage piece so does show signs of wear.

The Aquamarine: Like the fluctuating colours of the sea aquamarines range in colour from the palest pastel to a greenish-blue to deep blue, hence it’s name ‘Water of The Sea’ (latin). It’s versatility in flattering any skin tone or jewellery style has made it popular with jewellery designers and consumers alike.

The aquamarine represents those born in October, those born under the star sign Pisces and those celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary. It is said to symbolise faithfulness, courage and friendship, as well as remedying breakdowns in communication, making it a popular choice for lovers and friends. Ancient mystics believed that aquamarine was the Stone of the Seer, and that it endowed the wearer with serenity & a gentle nature, as well as promoting purity of thought and conduct.
